All of our horizontal tanks are built to order can be customized to your specifications in sizes from 175 to 6000 gallons. Lifting Lugs are included on all jacketed and insulated horizontal tanks and all tanks come with consumable anodes which are to be inspected, and replaced if needed, at least twice per year.

Large Volume Horizontal Jacketed Insulated Water Storage Tank
Standard features:
  • Ultonium® Glass Lining with Microban® applied to the interior surface of the steel for superior protection against corrosion. Microban® antimicrobial technology helps prevent the growth of bacteria, mold and mildew on the surface of the tank lining.
  • Sturdy heavy-gauge steel jacket.
  • 2′′ High density foam insulation minimizes heat loss with an R value of 12.5 and meets ASHRAE90.1b (2010 version) requirements.
  • Manways standard on all tanks over 36′′ diameter (reflected in pricing) and are optional on 36′′ diameter and below.
  • Optional opening/panels can be ordered to gain access to the existing lifting lugs.
  • Mounted on 2′′ fork-lift rails for easy lifting.
  • Magnesium anode rod for protection and longer service life.
  • One 3/4′′ Aquastat NPT fittings located in the lower part of the tank.
  • All tanks are constructed and certified in accordance with ASME IV, Part HLW for 125 PSI (862 kPa).
  • 5-year limited warranty on steel tank provides warranty protection against tank failure resulting from defects in materials and workmanship.
  • 10-year limited warranty on steel tank with double glass lining covers tank failure resulting from defects in materials and workmanship. Double glass lining is not an inventory item, built upon request.

Large Volume Horizontal Jacketed Insulated Water Storage Tank

Niles Steel Tank manufactures horizontal jacketed and insulated water storage tanks in sizes from 175 gallons up to 6000 gallons.  The jacketed and insulated large volume storage tanks meet ASHREA 90.1b (2010 version) for insulation requirements and have a 24 gauge painted steel jacket.  Lifting Lugs are included on all jacketed and insulated horizontal tanks and all tanks come with consumable anodes which are to be inspected, and replaced if needed, at least twice per year.

All horizontal tanks are built to order and follow current factory lead times.

All large volume water storage tanks are built under the HLW stamp of the ASME code which requires tanks over 36″ in diameter to be equipped with a manway.

  • Glass lined steel tank – Niles Steel Tank’s Ultonium® lining is applied to the interior surface of the steel providing a tough wear resistant lining which minimizes the effects of high temperature water.
  • Sturdy steel jacket – Heavy gauge steel jacket
  • 2″ High density foam insulation – Minimizes heat loss with an R value of 12.5, meets ASHREA 90.1b (2010 version) requirements.
  • Magnesium anode rod – For protection and longer service life.
  • Manways – Manways are optional on 36″ diameter and below.  They are standard on all HLW tanks over 36″ diameter.
  • One 3/4″ Aquastat NPT fittings – Located for optimal temperature reading.
  • All tanks are constructed and certified – In accordance with ASME IV, Part HLW for 125 PSI (862 kPa).
  • Five year limited warranty on steel tank – Provides warranty protection against tank failure resulting from defects in materials and workmanship.
  • Ten year limited warranty on steel tank (with double glass lining) – Provides superior warranty protection against tank failure. Double glass lining is not an inventory item, built upon request.
