Seismic Calculations

If your project is within a seismic zone, we can supply you with simple calculations. Please keep in mind:

  • We can only provide calculations based on a set the parameters which we choose for the specific tank size.
  • It is your responsibility to confirm with your local inspector that what we provide is sufficient for your specific project.
  • If more in-depth calculations are required, you must contact a local structural engineering company who specializes in this type of work.
Our process

We will calculate the seismic tie downs (securing clips) to meet a specific set of parameters. Based on the results of those calculations, we will add sturdier welds or stronger seismic clips to the vessel. In some cases, what we currently provide as standard securing clips, will meet the seismic requirements.
