Niles Steel Shield glass lining provides superior
protection for storage vessels, tanks, reactors and the
products contained within them. This proprietary formula
designed and tested to meet and exceed the standards of
today's industries for corrosion resistance, impact strength,
thermal stress resistance, non-adherence and heat transfer
efficiency.
Niles Steel Shield is proven under the strictest
testing procedures to meet the complex demands of the chemical
and pharmaceutical industries. It has shown superior performance,
longer life, higher resistance to abrasion and better mechanical
and thermal properties than other leading linings available
today.
In the final outcome, Niles Steel Shield's
combined properties make it extremely tough and durable
for long production life. It possesses excellent resistance
to acids, alkalis, water, heat and abrasion.
Niles Steel Shield is applied in layers with
the base coat smelted at approximately 1,650°F. Additional
layers are applied at increasing temperatures, insuring
the strongest bond between layers and offering
the best mechanical shock resistance available.
Our multi-phase application process includes a colored
indicator layer. This layer of Niles Steel Shield
has the same resistance properties but is infused with additional
elements for a lighter color. Applied at a specific layer,
the appearance of the lighter layer acts as a warning that
the vessel lining needs to be replaced. Our multi-phase
application process can, at your request, include a colored
indicator layer.
